What time is SAX open?

Wednesday through Saturday ~ 6pm
Sunday ~ 11:30am ~ 3pm

What time are the performances?

Our cabaret-style performances start at 6:30 pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and go on continuously every ten minutes for the duration of the evening.

Every Wednesday evening, SAX features 'Art Fete'; a celebration of live art in a variety of capacities featuring a DC artist live painting, instrumentalists, and aerialist shows.

Sunday brunch features 'The Encore'; a Saturday night experience on a Sunday afternoon with performances starting at 11:45 am and a live DJ starting at 1:30pm.

 

What type of performances?

Our performances range from Cirque-style novelty acts to acrobatic pole dancing to modern ballet, and interpretive dance. At some points in the evening, performers do come to the restaurant's floor for mingling and photo opportunities. 

Performances begin half hour after opening and then run every ten minutes. Each perfomance is appox. 3-4 minutes.

Do I need a reservation?

We strongly receommend reservations to ensure availability for your party size on the desired date of attendance.

Wednesday & Thursday: We accept reservations online for parties of 6 or less with a $35 food & beverage minimum per person. For reservations of parties of 7 or more, please call 202.737.0101.  

Friday: We accept reservations online for parties of 6 or less with a $75 food& beverage minimum per person.  There is a 10% tax and 20% gratuity is added to all final checks, regardless of party size.

Saturday: We accept reservations online for parties of 6 or less with a $75 food & beverage minimum per person.  There is a 10% tax and 20% gratuity added to all final checks, regardless of party size.

Sunday Brunch: Reservations can be made online or call 202.737.0101. Brunch is a prix fixe price of $50 per person. 

How do we reserve a table for Bottle Service?

All seated areas at SAX are available for bottle service and can be reserved with a required liquor/bottle minimum. Please call 202.737.0101 or email, bottles@saxwdc.com. Please include your name, contact number, email, desired date, total number of guests, and occasion. 

Do we have Happy Hour?

We do not currently have Happy Hour, however we do Corporate Happy Hours for large groups upon request. Please email angela@saxwdc.com for all booking inquiries. 

Is there a food menu? Brunch?

Yes, we have a full dinner menu with wonderful selections including Slow Roasted Beef Short Ribs, Chilean Sea Bass, Seared Diver Sea Scallops, & Artichoke Ravioli. To view our entire menu, please see our 'dinner menu' listed underneath the 'experience' tab.

Brunch offers a fabulous prix-fixe menu ($50 pp) that is available underneath the 'Brunch' menus tab on the website. SAX offers bottomless mimosas or bottomless Bloody Mary's for all brunch guests. 

Is there an age limit?

SAX is a 21 and over venue, regardless of the day of the week or time of entry. 

Can I book a celebration, birthday or bachelorette party?

We offer a variety of packages that can be booked by contacting events@saxwdc.com or via phone at 202.737.0101. 

Do you allow cameras?

We all love selfies & pics!  We do allow phone cameras, however, please be mindful of those around you and the performers; it is very dark at SAX and the flashes can be very distracting.  Please no camera videos with the FLASH on. 

We DO NOT allow professional cameras, digital cameras or other professional photography equipment.

Is there a cake/cupcake fee?

We love celebrations at SAX!  If you would like to celebrate by bringing your own cake or cupcakes from your favorite bakery, there is a $5 per person fee.  We do offer desserts on our regular dinner menu and a complimentary individual cake for the guest of honor.  

Is there a dress code?

Yes, we encourage our guests to dress fashionable with a sense of style in order to maintain the formality within our venue.

Please understand that it is to our door person and/or management's discretion in distinguishing this, as they sometimes have the uncomfortable situation in making a judgment regarding the image that they want our venue, as well as our guests, to represent. Therefore, we ask that what you wear is governed in good taste.

Sports/sneakers shoes, casual boots, flip flops, athletic caps, t-shirts, shorts, athletic apparel, and tattered or ill-fitting clothing/jeans, clearly are unacceptable.

Is there valet at SAX?

Yes, we offer valet every evening and during Sunday Brunch for $12 per car.

What is your corkage policy?

SAX offers wine corkage for bottles that are not available on our wine list for a service charge of $25 per bottle. A maximum of two 750ml bottles are permitted per reservation.

SAX does not allow magnums.

Corkage service charge does not apply toward our food and beverage minimums.
